This is a very important event in the world of windsurfing, a great reward for Calasetta, the Island of Sant’ Antioco and the region of Sardinia that, due to its weather conditions suitable for sailing sports, has been chosen as the perfect location for worldwide festivals on many occasions. It is the second year running that the IFCA (INTERNATIONAL FUNBOARD CLASS ASSOCIATION) strongly wanted Calasetta, the wonderful white town, as the chosen destination to host the Slalom European Championship. More than 100 athletes coming from all over the world will compete in a single race, an amazing sailing category in terms of slalom runs, tactics and speed rate, all set in a village designed to windsurfing lovers in the sunny Spiaggia di Sotto Torre, Calasetta.

The Island of Sant’Antioco is simply magnificent. 1Tradition La calata della Tonnara (Tuna fishing)-From 15 May to 15 June.
While tunas are passing through the outer coasts of the islands of Sant’Antioco and San Pietro, it starts the typical calata della tonnara, the traditional collective effort of bluefin fishing. -
2Culture Archaeological area of SulciSulky stood on the present town of Sant’Antioco, in the North-East side of the homonymous Sulcitana Island, in South-West Sardinia. It is possible to visit the MAB (Archaeological Museum Ferruccio Barreca), the Tofet, the Savoy Fort, the Hypogaeum village, the Ethnographic Museum, the Necropolis and Acropolis.
